Our Land Acknowledgement shows recognition of and respect for Indigenous peoples from the past and the present. We acknowledge that the property of Richland Academy is situated upon traditional territories of the Anishinabek, the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, Mississaugas of the Credit, Mississauga and the Wendat peoples.
Recognizing this land is an expression of gratitude and appreciation to those whose territory you reside on, and a way of honouring the Indigenous people who have been living and working on the land from time immemorial.
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit from Richmond Hill Councillor Perrelli this morning. He even got a ‘back stage pass’ to see the Grade 5 class rehearse for next week’s Holiday Concert and provided some excellent feedback to our students. Thank you for coming to Richland!
Meeting and performing to Councilor Perrelli was amazing. He gave us amazing feedback. I loved performing ‘Man in the Mirror’ because you can really express yourself from the song. i love music!
It is amazing how our class loves to sing and dance for our guests who come here to Richland Academy. Mr. Perrelli gave us one thing to work on and we sure will!
