After researching the principles of forces and structures, our Grade 5 and 6 students worked in trios to create sturdy and functional chairs, made only from newspaper and masking tape! 
Students presented their knowledge from their sustainable design inquiry at this year’s Science Inquiry Festival. Their drafts, research and design demonstrates an incredible amount of creativity and criticality in their thinking, with designs that incorporate elements from some of the most famous, oldest and sturdiest structures on earth!
