Primary Years Programme Exhibition

The Primary Years Programme Exhibition (PYPx) is a culminating event for Grade 6 students in the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP). The PYPx is an inquiry-based learning experience that requires students to explore real-world issues and topics of their choice, using their skills and knowledge to take action and make a positive impact in their community. Through the PYPx, students develop their critical thinking, research, communication, and collaboration skills, and demonstrate the attributes of the IB Learner Profile. The PYPx is definitely a valuable learning experience for students and it empowers them to become active and responsible global citizens.

Primary Years Programme Exhibition for grade 6

The first group of students to present at our school’s Primary Years Programme Exhibition (PYPx) explored the important connection between Arts and Mental Health. They demonstrated their knowledge and findings through the Approaches to Learning, by sharing their personal experiences and insights with the audience.

The second group of students to present at our school’s Primary Years Programme Exhibition (PYPx) tackled the important topic of exclusion in sports and gender equality. This group’s project highlights the importance of promoting inclusion in sports and gender equality in our community and beyond, because they recognized the inequality issue is still happening in our world for a number of reasons.

The third group of students to present at our school’s Primary Years Programme Exhibition (PYPx) focused on the theme of design. They used their skills to create a prototype design for the renovation of our school’s pavement area. This group’s project showcases the value of hands-on learning and the power of design to solve real-world problems.

The fourth and final group of students to present at our school’s Primary Years Programme Exhibition (PYPx) explored the theme of literature. This group’s project highlights the important role that literature plays in fostering a sense of community and promoting cultural stories, histories and receipes.

Overall, the PYPx provides an excellent opportunity for students to showcase their learning and growth and inspires us all to use our knowledge and skills to make a positive impact on the world. We look forward to seeing what other incredible projects our students will present in the future.
