On February 24th, the Richland Academy Singers participated in the 2012 Kiwanis Music Festival, achieving the highest standards at the Festival with a platinum standing in the ‘Elementary School Choirs Unison’ class (1st prize) and a gold standing in ‘Elementary School Choirs Grade 6 & Under’ class (1st prize). The adjudicators, Martha McCarthy and Nancy Kidd, who are among some of the top choral leaders in our country, commented on our “beautiful tone and sense of phrase” alongside the “beautiful conducting gestures and accompaniment.” Our choir’s performance was also regarded as “absolutely lovely and the singers followed the very expressive movements of your conductor!” Congratulations to Ms. Morgan and the Richland Academy Singers for all of their hard work!
