A curriculum map is a tool that provides an overview of curriculum components, which can be used to plan, revise and reflect on students’ learning opportunities. They are often completed each month in an electronic chart format and filed away where no one ever sees them or the connected learning that takes place!
It’s different at Richland! Our dynamic curriculum maps allow us to not only see what we have been doing, but how it all connects. Here is a snap shot from the Grade 5 map which represents only September! It has grown A LOT since then. Please stop by the Junior Division hallway to see the progress that has been made over the past few months. Even better, talk to one of our Grade 5 students and they will explain the connectivity.
Can you imagine what the rest of the year will look like?
