The Grade One students engaged with a variety of building materials as they explored designing and creating structures. Harini was building a log cabin while Sophia created some cars. Sophia then decided to build a bench. When it is completed, I point out to Sophia that her bench is similar in design to the one in the yard. What a great architect! 
Catherine used the same set of building supplies later in the day to create a playground with slides. Inaaya decided to use two sets of blocks so she could design, build, and fill, her new pool!
