This week, we welcomed Author and Creative Writing Instructor, Alison Acheson, for sessions with our Grade 1-3 students and Grade 4-6 students, respectively.
Ms. Acheson shared some of her brilliant stories and discussed the writing process with students. The first session examined the traits of writing that we use in our classrooms, allowing students to make connections, while the second session gave students ‘food for thought’ and different ways to ‘rewrite’ their work. Her use of humour and honesty built on their experience interviewing Arthur Slade earlier this year.
