We think you’re going to enjoy this video, What Most Schools Don’t Teach You, featuring some of the most influential individuals in the world – including Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg. The video shares the insights of these influential software creators, and stresses the importance of learning how to code.
What we find so intriguing is that these individuals were not necessarily taught computer coding in school. They share their stories of following their curiosity – of researching and learning what they needed to in order to bring their ideas to fruition. This begs the question, what skills are necessary in preparing children for the 21st Century? Skills such as collaboration, creativity, problem-solving, and communication – to name a few. It’s very encouraging to look around Richland and see these skills developing, even in our youngest students. We often wonder, how will Richland graduates change the world?
