Nurturing Your Child’s Innovation

Inquiring Minds would like to thank one of our PreK parents for sharing this link with us. This is an article from Parents Canada, which she felt Richland Academy was delivering on in terms of how our students learn. The article speaks to the importance of letting children take the lead in exploring in order to become innovative thinkers. To provide them with opportunities to follow their innate curiosity and allow them make their own discoveries through exploration.

As busy parents it’s not uncommon to want to quell the constant stream of questions from children. The reality is, we don’t need to have all the answers. Best not to. We only need to say, “How do you suppose you could find out?” and support them on their learning journey. Nurturing their very own disposition to learning is the greatest gift we can give them. As Richland parents tell us on many occasions, they love learning from their children.  We’re all in this together!

Do you have a link or article you would like to share with Inquiring Minds?  Please let us know – we would love to hear from you.
