“Art enables us to find ourselves and lose ourselves at the same time.” ― Thomas Merton, No Man Is an Island
At Richland we celebrate the arts and are continually reminded of the power of arts integration through our Reggio-inspired Inquiry Learning approach. One needs to only walk through our hallways to see, hear, and experience the integration of the arts to the curriculum at Richland. However, that cannot be said of every school. This post from edutopia.org stood out to us, because it captures the journey of a middle school in Maryland and how the arts have enriched the learning of their students. We hope you find it as encouraging as we did, and welcome your feedback.
