This week, the Grade 4s, took to their couches and listened as we read from a biographical book about the life and contributions of Dr. Martin Luther King. Although Martin Luther King Day happens comes only once a year, we are reminded that everyday is a day to treat each other as equals, with dignity and without discrimination.
This image, drawn by B.P. illustrates crowds that gathered in Washington D.C. when Dr. Martin Luther King shared his speech, “I have a dream.”
Students share their thoughts to our reading through illustrations, words and images.
