Our Land Acknowledgement shows recognition of and respect for Indigenous peoples from the past and the present. We acknowledge that the property of Richland Academy is situated upon traditional territories of the Anishinabek, the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, Mississaugas of the Credit, Mississauga and the Wendat peoples.
Recognizing this land is an expression of gratitude and appreciation to those whose territory you reside on, and a way of honouring the Indigenous people who have been living and working on the land from time immemorial.
Sarah Sherman holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto where she majored in History and double-minored in French and Renaissance Studies. She also holds a Bachelor of Education from Nipissing University in the Primary/Junior division. Dedicated to professional growth and development, Sarah has taken additional qualification courses in both Special Education and Teaching English Language Learners. She is passionate about inclusion and enjoys working with students of all ages and abilities. During the summers, Sarah works as a day camp supervisor and enjoys spending her days outdoors.
