Our Land Acknowledgement shows recognition of and respect for Indigenous peoples from the past and the present. We acknowledge that the property of Richland Academy is situated upon traditional territories of the Anishinabek, the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, Mississaugas of the Credit, Mississauga and the Wendat peoples.
Recognizing this land is an expression of gratitude and appreciation to those whose territory you reside on, and a way of honouring the Indigenous people who have been living and working on the land from time immemorial.
Mike is a graduate from Massey University-New Zealand (Bachelor of Education, diploma in educational studies). With over 15 years in education spanning Japan, New Zealand, and Canada, Mike is a seasoned educator dedicated to instilling a passion for lifelong learning. His cross-cultural teaching experience has honed a unique approach that empowers students to become curious, critical thinkers. Mike believes that education should inspire beyond textbooks. By fostering a dynamic environment where exploration is encouraged, students spark a love for learning that extends far beyond the classroom. Mike’s global perspective and innovative teaching methods reflect his genuine dedication to shaping adaptable leaders of tomorrow.
