Melissa Bracciale

Melissa is a Grade One teacher at Richland Academy with 17 years of experience in private schools, ranging from Senior Kindergarten through Grade Two. With a decade of experience in IB PYP classrooms, she hones in on concept-based inquiry teaching using innovative methods to help her students become deeper thinkers, confident individuals, and globally prepared. Melissa earned her Specialized Honours BA in Geography and Urban Studies from York University and later received her Bachelor of Education from D’Youville College. Throughout her career, she has pursued additional courses and earned a Specialist in Special Education. She enjoys attending reading conferences and is always excited to take courses to better her teaching style. Melissa is passionate about forming meaningful connections with her students, understanding their interests, and fostering a culture of trust. This approach encourages students to take academic and creative risks, strive to reach their full potential, and thrive in their learning journey.  Melissa holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Bachelor of Education degree. She has been teaching in private schools for 17 years, in grades ranging from Senior Kindergarten to Grade Two. Melissa is passionate about forming meaningful connections with her students, understanding their interests, and fostering a culture of trust.
