Our Land Acknowledgement shows recognition of and respect for Indigenous peoples from the past and the present. We acknowledge that the property of Richland Academy is situated upon traditional territories of the Anishinabek, the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, Mississaugas of the Credit, Mississauga and the Wendat peoples.
Recognizing this land is an expression of gratitude and appreciation to those whose territory you reside on, and a way of honouring the Indigenous people who have been living and working on the land from time immemorial.
Giancarlo De Luca has been a part of the Richland family for over 5 years. Born and raised in Richmond Hill, Giancarlo is very much so a homegrown talent. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree with Honors in Sociology, a Bachelor of Education degree, as well as a Minor in Geography. When he is not teaching you can find him playing hockey, soccer, or any other sport than involves a ball. In the summer he works for his family business continuing to support and learn from those around him. Giancarlo is a very family oriented, understanding, and supportive individual who loves to learn. Education is a fascinating journey, so let’s take it together!
