We are thrilled to announce that Richland Academy has received official authorization from the Ontario Ministry of Education to offer Grade 9 Math high school credits! This achievement comes after a successful pilot program this year, where three enthusiastic Grade 8 students participated in the “Reach Ahead” program.

Reach-Ahead is a program within the Ontario Schools curriculum that allows for exceptional students in Grade 8 to take secondary school courses prior to entering Grade 9.

This milestone takes us a step closer to achieving our strategic goal of providing a comprehensive high school program.

Richland Academy is proud to be an International Baccalaureate (IB) world school. Our preparation for the high school program includes our work toward achieving the Middle Years Programme (MYP) authorization by the end of 2024. This will be subsequently followed by our application for the Diploma Programme (DP) candidacy with the ultimate goal of becoming one of the few institutions in the GTA offering the full IB Continuum program.
