It’s amazing what you can do with a pumpkin – Developing our hammering skills!

With just a little bit of imagination, and a selection of unusual materials, the SK’s were able to practice their hammering skills as they decorated pumpkins for the upcoming Halloween. Why hammering? They are currently deeply engaged in a bird investigation and very much want to create bird houses “to keep the birds warm in the winter.” Believing just how capable children are, they will be using wood, nails and screws to bring to life the bird house plans they have already prepared. Here was a perfect opportunity to begin developing these skills.
