Join us on an exciting journey as students delve into the world of six simple machines! The grade 2 class have launched their inquiry into HOW THE WORLD WORKS with a collaborative activity with Mr. Demers in the gym.


At six captivating stations, learners were given the unique opportunity to unravel the mysteries behind these ingenious inventions. Guided by a concise introduction, they banded together in small groups, embarking on a quest to decipher the interconnectedness between these machines and the fundamental principles governing our universe.
Our immersive activities were meticulously designed to spark curiosity and encourage hands-on exploration, empowering students to unlock the potential of each simple machine for distinct purposes. The palpable enthusiasm of our young scholars was evident as they eagerly immersed themselves in the tasks, demonstrating a remarkable level of engagement with the materials provided. Collaboratively, they embarked on a journey of discovery, seamlessly navigating through the stations with boundless curiosity and zest for knowledge.


To activate prior knowledge, teacher have asked students write and/or draw what they think a simple machine. As a teacher, this gives an idea of the knowledge they have at the start of the unit.
