Our Land Acknowledgement shows recognition of and respect for Indigenous peoples from the past and the present. We acknowledge that the property of Richland Academy is situated upon traditional territories of the Anishinabek, the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, Mississaugas of the Credit, Mississauga and the Wendat peoples.
Recognizing this land is an expression of gratitude and appreciation to those whose territory you reside on, and a way of honouring the Indigenous people who have been living and working on the land from time immemorial.
Josephine holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree with Honours in Visual Arts, a Bachelor of Education degree (U of T) and the Ontario College of Art. (OCAD). She has been teaching Visual Arts at Richland Academy since 2005. She is passionate about fostering creativity and empowering others to make a difference through the visual arts and continues to exhibit her own artwork, winning several awards as a watercolour artist. She especially enjoys teaching in the collaborative Reggio inspired and IB inquiry program that Richland provides to its students.
