IMPORTANT UPDATE

From September 5th 2025, we will begin the launch of our new School Management System through Veracross. All new inquiries and applications will be processed through our new online admissions portal.

For families who have already inquired or have started an application for their child, our admissions office will be contacting you personally in the coming weeks to gain access to our new system. All the information you previously provided through OpenApply will be transferred over to Veracross.

APPLICATION PROCESS

Continue your application process seamlessly through the Veracross portal.

Once your application is submitted, our Admissions Officer, Bessy Bianco, will reach out to guide you through the next steps, including arranging a day visit for your child(ren).

RECEIVE YOUR OFFER
Once a decision has been made to offer your child a placement at Richland Academy, you will receive a written offer of placement along with a registration package.

Richland Academy is rolling out our new management system Veracross to simplify the admissions process for applicants and schools by providing a convenient alternative to paper forms, and by providing an integrated system to support the internal admissions process from first inquiry to enrolment and re-enrolment. Veracross is a web-based application, and is free for applicants & families. All you need is an Internet connection and an electronic device such as computer, tablet or phone.

 

1. Book a Private Tour or Open House!
Once your Veracross account is created, you can schedule a Private Tour or sign up for an upcoming Open House by clicking the link below to discover our IB and Reggio-inspired learning environment and explore our campus.

2. Submit Your Child(ren)’s Application Online.
Click the link below to complete the online application, please include:

  • A copy of your child’s three most recent report cards (if applicable)
  • A copy of your child’s birth certificate or passport
  • Application fee of $350.00 (non-refundable) for Kindergarten to Grade 8
  • Application fee of $550.00 CDN (non-refundable) for International Applications

3. Invitation to a Personal Day Visit / Assessment at Richland.
After reviewing your application, we will schedule an appointment for your child(ren) to visit our school for a day visit / assessment.
During this visit:

  • We will conduct an assessment for students in Grades 1 to 8 to determine their academic abilities.
  • For the JK-SK, we use a comprehensive tool to get to know them better.

4. Receive Your Child(ren)’s Offer of Placement.
We want to ensure that we are able to meet, and exceed, the needs of all of our students. Decisions are made based on the thoughtful observations and assessment by Richland faculty and staff; and are made in the best interests of the students. Richland’s student population benefits from a range of abilities, and we recognize the potential in every child. Once a decision has been made to offer your child a placement at Richland Academy, you will receive a written offer of placement along with a registration package.
